We have been working continuously since first reports this morning with the local authority and transport agencies to minimise these delays. One festivalgoer Oliver Marchant said on Facebook: "Arrived after 13 hours of travelling (should have taken 4 at most) to the accessible campsite, insufficient space for any tents and no staff around, wristband building had been shut, just the people in the pink high vis trying to do their best to get answers for us. Metallica, Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot will headline the festival which kicks off today (Thursday June 8) until Sunday, June 11. The four-day rock festival kicks off this week at Donington Park as people rush to the campsites. Download Festival fans are being warned to not follow their sat-nav as some punters claim they have been queuing "for hours".
